Walmart a company that uses Facebook

Walmart uses a lot of social media to get its name and products out in the public.  It uses RSS feeds, Twitter, Facebook and has mobile apps.  Almost all the products that Walmart sells have their own Facebook pages.

Creative Commons Licensing and Flickr

When posting a photo to Flickr, you can change the settings so that only you can see the pictures you upload.  If you wish for others to view your pictures then Flickr has a range of privacy and sharing settings.  I believe that Flickr does not do enough to let users know about creative commons liscensing.  In order to change settings and learn about creative commons you have ot search the website and find it yourself.  I think that once you upload a photo to Flickr for the first time, Flickr should put up a dialoge about creative commons liscensing to inform the user about there rights.

Company That Uses RSS Feeds

103.5 KissFM is a radio station that i used to listen to for the Drex in the morning show.  Drex in the morning has now been canceled but there podcasts still exist.  Thanks to RSS feeds the podcasts are available to me for free using iTunes and the KissFM podcasts. Now I can still listen to one of my favorite morning shows.

Wikis For Collaboration

The Disney Wiki is a wiki that has articles on everything to do with Disney and the movies and creations the company has made.  Disney also uses wikis internally to collaborate on ideas for new shows, movies and creations.

Hi my name is Amanda and I'm making this blog for my Web105 class. I have a dog named Boomer that i love to play with. I also like to listen to music, watch movies, and play video games.

Playlist - On playlist.com you are able to listen to music and create your own playlists.  Also other users can save playlist that you can also listen to.

IMDB - Internet movie database is a great place to find out more information about movies and the actors that play in them.

Gamestop - Gamestop is a video game store and I use the website to see when new video games are going to be released.
